Hawzah News Agency- Speaking in his Friday sermon, citing Verse 21 of Surah al-Ahzab, he said God has set the life of the Prophet as a model for all humanity—one that believers who have faith in God, the Hereafter, and constant remembrance of God must follow.
Action over words: The cleric stressed that introducing the Prophet's conduct is not sufficient; what matters is applying prophetic teachings in individual and social life. He questioned why, despite the abundance of religious programs and lectures, their impact is often not visible in people's behavior.
The Prophet's transformative mission: He noted that the Prophet was sent to a society steeped in ignorance, materialism, and corruption, where human values had been eroded and worldly gain was the primary goal. The Prophet's first step was to call people from world-worship to God-worship and to revive belief in the Hereafter.
Two paths: Citing Imam Ali (AS), he said humanity falls into two groups—those who exhaust themselves for worldly gain and those who organize their lives for success in the Hereafter. He urged self-reflection on which path one follows, warning that a purely worldly life shapes all priorities and decisions accordingly.
World as a passage: He emphasized that the Quran repeatedly directs attention to life after death, making clear that the world is not a permanent home but a passage to the Hereafter. When belief in the Hereafter takes root, so does monotheism and God-consciousness.
Hospitality as a prophetic tradition: He cited a narration in which the Prophet's wife witnessed blessings and calamities departing with him as he left his home, describing hospitality as a source of divine mercy, increased provision, and forgiveness of sins.
Criticism of declining traditions: He lamented that Muslims today often view hospitality as a burden due to material preoccupations, despite it being a valued Islamic tradition and a manifestation of the Prophet's conduct. He called for reviving hospitality and other ethical traditions in homes and society.
Conclusion: He stressed that if Muslims want love, brotherhood, and blessings to spread, they must strengthen their belief in the Hereafter and make the Prophet's conduct a real model for life—not merely mention his name or discuss his life. True success, he said, is when one's behavior, family, social relations, and lifestyle reflect the Prophet's example.
He concluded with a prayer asking God to grant Muslims the ability to truly follow the Prophet's conduct, strengthen their certainty in the Hereafter, distance them from excessive materialism, and enable them to practice hospitality and other Islamic values in their individual and social lives.
